Solid wood is authentic and powerful – yet we make it appear to float weightlessly above the floor.

Our floating tables combine maximum presence with minimal distraction. Their minimalist design draws the eye back to the essentials: the wood, the room, life itself.

The glass substructure remains virtually invisible, creating a play of light, shadow, and volume—as if floating in space.

Inspired by principles such as negative space, balance, and reduction, our tables blend harmoniously into modern room concepts.

The technology behind floating

What looks like magic is actually precision engineering. The supporting structure consists of 20–24 mm thick laminated safety glass (LSG), which is specially designed for heavy loads. Tested? You bet—even a helicopter can land on it (watch video).

The connecting elements made of stainless steel or wood are embedded with millimeter precision. This creates an almost seamless interplay of technology and craftsmanship – in a protected design developed exclusively for Stammdesign.
