Behind the Scenes of Our Stammdesign Wood Workshop

The journey from tree to stylish stump table or any other unique wooden design takes place entirely in our wood workshop in Perwang am Grabensee, near Salzburg, in beautiful Austria. Here, our wood is gently dried and stored, the pieces are cleaned, holes are filled, and then they are planed, milled, adjusted, and finally sanded and oiled. Everything is done in a way that preserves, and even enhances, the distinctive character of each piece. This requires a lot of handwork, expertise, and sensitivity – but most of all, a sense for the uniqueness of the wood.
